A no frills fire intensive course for newcomers to fire. Flambeaux & Co. will get you accustomed to handling fire & anticipating it's behaviour so that you have a keen sense of understanding of it onstage, at spin jams, fire-art happenings, and in your very life. Critical skills, fire eating, fire safety, fire contact and use of wicked props and tools as well as safety, production. This Spartan class gives you what you need to progress to the many other forms and formats of fire art from here on, taught by the man who has been it's lifelong champion.

Class schedule will be as follows:

Fire Clowning & Cabaret blends theatrical fire performance with physical comedy, character work, and absurd stagecraft. Students will explore how humor, timing, audience interaction, and playful mishaps can be combined with fire skills to create memorable acts that are are equal parts ridicule, spectacle, chaos, and performance art. There will be a brief intermission between classes.

This is the develpmental course (FM-102) in the FIRE MENTORSHIP SERIES structured for those who are no strangers to fire who want to develop acts and shows and be independent performers, capable of putting those acts on well, safely and really reach an audiences' heart with their performance skills. Not only technique and ability but concept, choreography, characters, narrative, theatricality are blended with pure circus, often using what a student already has in their skillset, and tempered w production and safety learning, as well as the art & ethos of fire. It's Flambeaux Fire so that means it's FIRE THEATER! This class provides full mentorship focused on the development of each student’s personal style, performance voice, and chosen fire discipline.

The course culminates in a fully staged theatrical presentation of the built acts for the public at Paradigm Theatre, performed for a public audience at an end-of-course showcase.

Explore the art of double staff fire spinning through coordinated movement, geometric patterns, and dynamic prop manipulation. Students will develop foundational techniques such as synchronized spins, figure eights, body tracing, and controlled tosses, while advancing toward more complex concepts including isolations, anti-spin patterns, and illusion-based “wiggle” effects using dual fire staffs.

Discover the fundamentals of fire poi spinning, a dynamic flow art that combines rhythm, coordination, and circular movement using flaming poi. Students will learn foundational spins, transitions, timing, and body control while exploring the fluid patterns and visual effects that make poi one of the most versatile and expressive fire arts.

Step into a class that blends the expressive power of contemporary dance with the dynamic artistry of fire fans. Students will build a strong movement foundation- focusing on flow, control, and musicality- while learning the technical skills needed to safely and confidently handle fire fans. Through guided exercises and choreogra- phy, you'll develop strength, coordination, and stage presence, culminating in a unique performance style that merges dance and flame. Perfect for movers looking to expand their practice and explore something bold, creative, and unforgettable.

This is a continuation of FIRE BREATHING 101 (FB-101) for returning members who want to refine their technique and performance.

Fire Fans & Choreo with Vicky De Flame
Learn the fundamentals of dance performance with fire fans as your movement partner. This class builds musicality, timing, and rhythmic confidence while teaching you to pick up choreography quickly, hit accents, and stay grounded in tempo. Training emphasizes clean transitions, movement clarity, and performance memory. The course culminates in a polished 3-minute performance video—giving you a finished piece you can confidently share or build upon.

World Champion Rope Darter Frank Hatsis, together with the FF team, teach the first course (RD-101) in the FIRE ROPE DART SERIES. Beginner and experienced rope darters how to perform FIRE rope dart, with flair, spectacle and safety in a controlled and safe environment. LEAVE AS A MASTER!

A comprehensive course covers emergency response, situational control, and maintaining safe practices in both rehearsal and performance environments.

This is the first course (FM-101) in the FIRE MENTORSHIP SERIES structured for beginners & relative newcommers to fire. Students will be instructed on performance skills in Flambeaux’s signature Fire-Theater style, critical practices, fire safety, Industry tools, production/self-production, group act building, as well as the art & ethos of fire. This course includes a 20 minute video recording of performance and creation of a group show act to be presented at a 2026 Paradigm production.
