After the pandemic wiped the fledgling production of The Calling off the map, it was dubious if it would ever be seen again. But as the world has healed, so have the possibilities. Now, after 3 years of background work in isolation, with a rewritten script, a new plan and a renewed vigor, Flambeauxfire starts again with the backing of Anita Durst et al, to build the first Broadway style musical fire production.
By now, Flambeaux’s writing skills have been honed and the script made much more dynamic yet more graceful and efficient. Seasoned creatives have been added to the team. And the Flambeaux Fire team has improved it’s FDNY credentials enormously. The music has been polished into what could easily be a successful album release and recasting has begun in an effort to begin showcases and fundraising in the summer.
For eleven years, countless people have been involved in the creation of The Calling and like a fire, it has sometimes smoldered, but never died. Now we hope to bring on an inferno.
